Night of Wonders

Venue: St. Catherine of Siena Church, Martinez

Celebrate the season with DCA and immerse yourself in an evening of enchanting music that brings the legendary Christmas story to life. Experience the magic in the heart of historic downtown Martinez, within one of the East Bay’s most beautiful sacred spaces.

This year’s holiday program blends timeless and contemporary choral masterworks, including:
● Stellar carol arrangements by Andrew Carter, Gustav Holst, Alice Parker, and Martin Shaw
● Selections from Rosephanye Powell’s luminous suite, Christmas Give
● Excerpts from Saint-Saëns’ magnificent Christmas Oratorio, accompanied by organ, strings, and quintet of distinguished vocal soloists

Your ticket includes entry to DCA’s post-performance reception, featuring light refreshments and a chance to connect with the artists.

Spring Concert

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025

Time: 7:30 PM

Venue: TBD (Walnut Creek)

Repertoire: Celebrating the rich musical traditions of Shape-Note hymns, African-American Spirituals, and German Reformation music, this program explores how communal singing fosters deep cultural bonds while challenging social and political norms. Featuring uplifting works by J. S. Bach, Roland M.  Carter, William L. Dawson, Alice Parker, Florence Price, and Undine Smith Moore (final repertoire to be confirmed).
